I was pleased to discover this camping. Arriving in late September many of the additional amenities were closed. The toilet/shower facilities were adequate although dated. However, the friendly and helpful staff plus the camping site location with close access to suburban rail into the city tempted us to stay much longer to enjoy the pleasure of Budapest. There was shade to be found under the many trees and we were free to choose our own pitch position. A 15 minute walk took us to the Danube river bank where a Budapest Transport bus took us down river to the capital (public transport free to EU pensioners over 65). I would happily go there again.

Excellent location! Lovely shaded pitches only 8k from battyany ter, with bike route or frequent metro service straight into city. Toilets & services all very dated and scruffy but functional, but for us it was a really good site with a very pleasant and helpful lady on reception. didn’t try restaurant or pool next door- we were there to visit the city
