The site is located in a small Portuguese village. It is run by its friendly German owners.
The toilets are clean and adequate for the site. Also there is a swimming pool and bar.
There are many Points of Interest within driving distance including Fatima. There in an Intermarche about 16km away. At least 2 reviews say the site is quiet and peaceful and have rated the site Excellent. I cannot agree with these assessment. The point of a review is to be honest and truthfully no matter how friendly with the owners. Our experience has been that there are a lot of dogs in the surrounding houses that bark all day and into the evening but NOT overnight. This is outside the control of the owners and there is nothing they can do about it. I wonder why the Portuguese locals themselves do not shut their dogs up or complain to their close neighbours about the noise. It beats me it really does. Had this been a quiet site then I would have rated the site excellent too and extremely good value for the money. The owners have put a lot of time and effort into the site and I\'m sure the dog barking issue has cost them dearly and that is a great shame. Of course not everybody will object to barking dogs and to those people I whole heartedly recommend this site. If you are bothered about dogs barking then it would be wrong to suggest this is a quiet and peaceful site.
